About me

I am a clinical psychologist passionate about unraveling the complexities of the human mind and the beautiful nuances of different cultures. I specialise in Transcultural Systemic Psychotherapy (ISST), an approach rooted in the belief that no one exists in isolation. By viewing individuals within their unique social and cultural contexts, I help clients navigate life’s challenges, strengthen their relational bonds, and develop a clearer, more integrated sense of self.My own journey deeply informs my perspective. Having relocated to Italy, I built my life here from the ground up, learning the language, navigating complex systems, and redefining my identity when familiar reference points disappeared. This experience taught me that adaptation is about more than just resilience; it involves grief, identity work, and a sustained effort to belong. Because I understand the "integration journey" intimately, I am acutely aware of the unique struggles expats face. I am here to help you find your footing and thrive. As a plurilingual therapist: native in English and Hindi, and fluent in Italian. I strive to create a space where you can talk in your own language. You shouldn't have to carry the extra burden of translating your feelings or wondering if your cultural nuances "make sense" to your therapist. My commitment is to provide ethical, effective, and culturally sensitive care within a warm, collaborative environment. Whether you are navigating personal distress, relationship difficulties, or the disorientation of a major life transition, I offer a grounded and professional space for your growth.

My Approach

Systemic relational therapy operates on the premise that individuals are intrinsically interconnected within a matrix of relationships and social contexts. Sometimes, when things feel off, it's not only about what's going on inside you, but also about what's happening in those relationships. Think of it like a network: we're all connected to different people and systems, like family, friends, work, and even our cultural backgrounds. When something feels off, it's often because there's a disruption or imbalance within one of these networks. In our sessions, you can expect a space defined by warmth and empathy, a safe, non-judgmental environment where you are free to explore your deepest concerns. While I am here to provide unwavering support, I also believe in the value of a gentle challenge; I will nudge you toward growth when we identify patterns or behaviours that no longer serve your well-being. I strive to make the therapeutic process feel deeply human and grounded. To that end, I occasionally integrate a sense of perspective and appropriate humour into our work. These moments of shared insight can often create mental flexibility where there was once rigidity, helping the journey of change feel more accessible and less burdensome. My clinical focus extends beyond immediate symptom relief. I aim to help you develop lasting emotional clarity, stronger boundaries, and a coherent sense of belonging, both within yourself and your relationships. To achieve this, we will explore how your social environments and interpersonal connections influence your internal world. By examining the impact of family dynamics, friendships, work environments, or romantic partnerships, we can better understand the external factors shaping your emotional health and work toward a more balanced, integrated life.
